Smooth Delivery

So this week the Johnson Household has been minus one little Guy! Last week we Delivered him half way to Texas, to spend some time at my Grandparents Ranch in Texas! Shannon (my sister-in-law), My mother, and myself, along with Drew and his cousin Logan, had the funnest roadtrip EVER!  We Arrived there early afternoon to our destination of Kingman AZ!! We then headed out to dinner then swam the evening away in the hotel pool! Early the next morning we parted ways, Drew, Logan, Grandma & Grandad headed East to Texas, and us back home to California!  WE HAD A BLAST!

I had nightmares of how traumatic the parting ways would go down, and was sure Drew would be headed back to California with us! But, I knew once he was on his way, he would have the time of his life! There wasn't a summer in my whole childhood I didn't spend at my Grandparents house, which now are some of my fondest memories! BUT surprisingly he never even batted an eye! He usually isn't a fan of staying away from home, but my Grandparents have had this planned since they were born! We woke up that morning and he was SET to go!! BYE MOM... and that was that... Boy was I wrong! Our week has been so quiet, and Trent is lost without his big brother! It is so fun to have some one on one time with Trent, and WOW I forgot how extremely easy and peaceful it is with only one child!! BUT I can't wait to see Drew! 

We leave Tomorrow for Texas, with a slight detour to a wedding in Southern California!! THEN we too get out Ranch getaway... I CAN'T WAIT! Their house is truly my favorite Vacation Destination!

Tent Burned his hand terrible tonight on the stove :( That should make travels a bummer for him! Poor little guy!

What "I Do"

Is seriously the funnest thing ever! It's insanely rewarding, to see my creations on such beauties! The "I do" season that we are in the middle of has me working overtime, and I couldn't be more giddy about each Bride who come to me for their special day! I've done this for a while, And I fall More and More in Luv as time goes on!

Work Hard Play Hard

Summer time means WORK WORK, day after day for Mr. Johnson... and I have found myself swamped lately too! BUT we have found ways to finagle jam packed fun filled weekends! With a wedding list that is BONKERS this summer, birhtday Parties, Concerts, and so on... We are taking the title in the Play Hard area!  Here is a peek at a Super fun Concert and a couple wonderful weddings!

The Festivities of Turning 5 & the 4th

Our little Drew Turned 5 years old today!!

 I don't want to sound like a broken record, by saying where does the time go... BUT I really have never had a stent of 5 years fly by sop quickly in all of my life! It seems like my tiny little preemie Drewpy was just being laid upon my chest for the first time! And now I can't carry his LONG LANKY body to bed without hurting something! The sight of his precious little face 5 years ago, after a long premature Labor, was the most beautiful sight I had ever laid eyes on! I remember just gazing into his eyes wondering what he would look like at 5, and then 10, then imagining him getting his first truck, wondering where he would go to college, who he would marry... Those things seemed SO far off at the time! Now I know how adorably handsome he is at 5, those other wonders are just around the corner, and it breaks my heart! I want to be able to cuddle him in my arms for ever!!  LUCKY FOR ME... I'm ONE VERY LONG LANKY mama, so I can hold him and carry him without his legs dragging the ground just yet....

 Being Born on the 5th of July makes for a pretty fun celebration! We celebrated On Sunday, then A Little More on the 4th, and then again Today! He had the "BEST BIRTHDAY EVER" so he said!

A little look back from just 5 years ago! After a HOT Long 4th of July... we came home, my water broke at 35 weeks pregnant, and then we welcomed our Precious Drew into the world!
