My Sides Are Aching...

because I have never laughed so hard!

This weekend some girlfriends & I had a little getaway to Reno, where we had BIG PLANS to go see the comedian Chelsea Handler! Her show was Hilarius, and to top it off her opening act was Guy Branum a Yuba City native. He gave our small little town a couple of shout outs (which we thought was AWESOME). I am so thankful that our amazing husbands were kind enough to be on Daddy Duty for the night and give us mama's a special treat! I did feel horrible for leaving Jess behind because he loves Chelsea just as much as I do. We stayed at my girlfriend Nicole's BEAUTIFUL home, and were spoiled by her amazing hosting abilities! I Love her home & the community she lives in...it so feels like retreat! She is the best entertainer, and helping her in the kitchen I always learn something new! Great Food, wonderful ladies, and CHELSEA HANDLER, made for a FABULOUS WEEKEND!

Fathers Day Fun

I'm a few days late in posting this...but we had a great Fathers day, filled with all sorts of Fatherly kinds of things, like Jeep Rides, Fishing, and Flying Kites from the back of the 4 wheeler!

The first catch of the Day! The pond was being extra generous to Jess that day, I guess as Fathers Day Treat! He caught 4 fish!

It made him feel pretty awesome...and Drew thought so too!
HE thinks his dad is the BEST at EVERYTHING!

Our Boys are watching his every move, which will shape them into the men they become some day! I couldn't be prouder of him, nor could I have picked a better partner in raising a family! We are extremely lucky and Love him so much! He is a hard working, kind hearted, generous and PATIENT man! Just the kind of man I'd hope for my sons to become!

WHAT A SUCCESS

The Dust has settled, and the Cowboys have all gone home! The Jake Lomas Memorial "Rope For Jake's Boys" was a HUGE SUCCESS! With OVER 500 teams of Ropers, and OVER 250 Auction Items, it was More of A Success than we ever imagined! Jake's buddies did a spectacular job putting on this event, and Brayden & Logan have quite the little college fund awaiting them! There are so many Tremendous Kind Hearted people out there! In such a hard economic time, the amount of given is UNBELIEVABLE! These are some Precious Memories captured of this GREAT Day!

So many people Loved Jake, and this just goes to show it! Logan & Brayden may not have their daddy here with them any more.....but the amount of people they have to be there for them is countless! People came from far and wide to be here for the Roping, but many not to even rope, just show support! The items that were donated came from people in other Countries, Retired NFL players, Famous authors, artists featured in the Smithsonian.....all just to help these boys! Jake is surly smiling down on HUNDREDS & HUNDREDS of people, I just know it!

Country Kitchen

Jennifer's new Job is at this adorable little restaurant! Yesterday morning was her first shift, it also just happened to be Taco Tuesday! Which this place is famous for, so she and I took Drew on a dinner date there! It was a blast, they have a live band on Tuesday nights, and Drew is one little dancing machine! I see many more meals at this little country Kitchen in our future :)

Let me emphasize on the "COUNTRY" Part of Country Kitchen! Check out all of Countryness going on in there! Jennifer should be a hit!

Cherries

We can't eat them fast enough!! They are delicious, and have become our evening treat! Time to start baking cherry goodies....they are going to rot before we could consume the amount this beautiful back yard tree has produced!

Five Fabulous Years

June 4th, 2005

This Weekend Jess & I celebrated out 5th Wedding Anniversary! We were able to go on a date, since we have Jennifer my sister staying with us! It was Friday night June 4th, and she so kindly stayed with the boys so we could go celebrate! These past years have been the best of my life! I am such a lucky woman to have found such an amazing partner! Little did I know this day that the love I had for him would grow stronger & stronger! He is an amazing husband, and I can't wait to see what else we have in store for us! Five years and 2 beautiful sons later...I couldn't be happier!

I hope his hair turns salt & pepper when we are old! I think that would be super handsome!
