that Spring is near, is when the Brandings Begin!!
Mama Cows Start dropping calves this time of year... calves that will need to be branded! This weekend was our first of MANY brandings to come this Spring! This time around we branded 200 calves!
Spring is the start of Fresh New Beginnings in so many ways! And an extremely BUSY time for us!
Weekends are full of Baby Showers Wedding Showers, Weddings... and in between all that we slap on our grubbies and Brand Calves! It may not be Glamorous, but they are good old Wholesome Family Fun in my book! In the hustle and bussle of life, There is nothing better than spending the day amongst Beautiful Green Pastures, Baby Calves, and excitement on the little ones faces as they watch their daddy out there Cowboying! The smell of clean air, children running wild, and hard working men, making an honest living Brings me back to the place I need to be! Sure I don't like waking up at the Crack of Dawn... But once I'm up and at em... as dirty and grueling as it may be.... there's no place I'd rather be!
