Missin'

                                                                          MY MAN!!

{Now first off that was for cute flowing purposes... I NEVER refer to my husband as my MAN! I'm really not one for nicknames.. or slang words... Just to clear that up!}

My Hunky Husbands has been away all week working out of Town & you can just say this house is FULL OF CRY BABY'S.... ME INCLUDED!!!   We have NEVER had him away for this amount of time, since the children came along... and I AM O-V-E-R it! I miss him so much it hurts!

Call me Ridiculous, call me a baby, call me what you want...

BUT ALL I CARE ABOUT is getting a  CALL or two each day from my Jess!

He will come home for the weekend, so I'm dreaming up what yummy homey kind of goodness I will feed him! And  fabulous wifely duties I can spoil him with while he is here for the day and a half! Also on my to do list is to crate yet another WEEKS worth of scrumptious meals to send him away with.... meals that will have the other men he is with envy him!   ANY ONE HAVE ANY GOOD IDEAS FOR ME?

I've never had to come up with travelable (not sure that's a word) TO GO MENUS...  at least not a WEEKS worth! And he is used to GOOD EATIN'.....  He's a country boy... and is WELL FED! And I'm a frugle girl... SO instead of eating out... he is sent with Supper!!

                                                    Ohhh I miss him... and so do the boys!
                                        Bed time is a bummer, with cry sessions for Daddy!!

I will admit that the VERY things he does daily that DRIVE ME CRAZY... I'm beginning to miss! I just hope he doesn't hear of this!!

I haven't had to clean the trimmings of his facial hair out of the sink... nor remind him to not lay a wet towel on the bed... ALWAYS on my side mind you! Pick up the soap off the floor of the shower (DISGUSTING)!! Or ask him to CHEW on what ever piece of plastic he's munching on at the time A LITTLE QUIETER!!

Those are a few of Jess' little habits, that I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE BACK!!!

Twice as Nice

                                                         Another Little Girl for the Horns!

Thursday Evening one of my dearest fiends Rachel had a special little gathering of closest friends and family!! It was a gender reveling party and it was a blast!  It's a GIRL... and there was no doubt about it as you walked into their  home with pink party decor Galore! The Horn's already have sweet little Audrey who is 2 and are excited to welcome another baby girl to their Family!  I particularly love it that she will have 2 girls to go along with my 2 boys giving me just the perfect amount of GIRL FIX.  I can't wine enough about how unfair the options of little girl stuff is vs. little boys stuff! It is utterly fabulous shopping for little girl!  Being a mother of two boys, I rarely get to experience the fabulousness of browsing the baby girl department... the cuteness is unreal!

Cover Boy

My Little Cover boy, Lover Boy!!

He is just the sweetest little guy in the world! I couldn't be more fascinated with him! He is definitely something else... the most Stylish, confident, handsome, smart, lovable little guy out there! He said this morning... "why did they choose that one, you can't see all of me & what about that great tie I was wearing"... Gosh Darn them for choosing not his favorite image!! Hahah!!!

I LOVE this, and I love that we were given the opportunity to have him be on this little magazine! And for another plug on my little Trew Luv... I tell ya somehow things just keep getting better & better for TL! This Valentiens Band is available here!

Shoot

My little Ham Drew was asked to be on the cover of the February issue of a local Magazine! He was pretty excited about being a little model, and felt pretty special when we arrived to the shoot, and was welcomed by a photography staff with huge lights and props, wardrobe changes, and a few treats to be rewarded if he did good! He did a Great Job... well his mama sure things he did!! I have not yet seen the issue but the Photographer {Moments to Remember} was kind enough to share a couple of the Raw Images with me!! Can't wait to see the real deal!

Here is Drew and his fellow adorable model Hallie Prather... Isn't it funny they are modeling together... Drew's middle name is Prather (It's a family name on my side). They are a darling little pair :) And to top it off that's a Trew Luv flower in her hair... this will be the second time on a magazine Cover for Trew Luv!! PRETTY Exciting stuff I must say!

Lucky Me

Lucky You! I hope this dish brings us all luck the whole year through!

It is thought (mainly in the South) that the Black Eyed Peas will Bring a Luck filled & Prosperous Year to those who eat them on New Years Day! This is a Tradition my family has done my entire Life! All besides that one year in my late teens when I found myself too busy to make it home for Dinner, thinking Tahoe was much cooler place to be! I learned my lesson & As Long as I live I'll NEVER go a New Years Day without this Delicious dish again!

As I am Preparing for Our New Years Eve festivities, I decided to get some prepping done for Our New Years Day Dinner... And as I was scamming through my Beloved Cookbook collection, I've settled with this Favorite! It comes from the Kitchen of a woman in my Grandparents community! {This is their country road! Not too many houses around! Grandad calls it God's Country! }

Well I'm not sure what they call it out there... Let's say their neck of the woods... Or Since there are few trees let's say Tumbleweeds!!!

Believe me these Women in the Texas Panhandle know how to cook! My Grandma & her Friends put together a cookbook of all of their favorite recipes, and the BOOK IS OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!

From the Kitchen of Lucy:
Spicy Black Eyed Peas

1lb. of Smocked Bacon OR Pork Sausage Sliced
1 lg. chopped onion
2 lg. Green Peppers diced
1 can of Ro-Tel Tomatoes
1 16 oz. package of Dried Black-eyed Peas washed

In Large Skillet Prepare Sausage, remove and Saute Onion in Drippings until tender. Add Tomatoes, chillies, Peas. Add water and cook over medium heat for 45 min. to 1 hour, until beans are tender, add additional water if needed! Add Sausage, or Bacon as Garnish on top.

All Wrapped Up

Christmas has Come And Gone! All of that prepping and it's Over like that! Nicely wrapped gifts quickly turned this home into one heck of a mess in the blink of an eye!! I LOVE just sitting back and taking in all of the excitement on every ones faces! What a Magical time Christmas is! For the First Ever time we had Christmas Morning at our own home! It was the first time in my life to not stay at either My family's home or Jess' parents, it was sure different but still nice!

NOCEMBER

Yep, that's what I said... Nocember! According to Drew that is the month we are currently in! I got a little run down of 4 year old facts yesterday!

In a VERY MATTER OF FACT Manner he Stated "MOM.....

• We live on planet Earth,
• Santa lives in the North Pole
• IT'S Almost Christmas Because it Nocember!! (a 4 year old mix up of combining Novemebr & December)
• Santa is going to bring him his Rock Star Stuff Because he is going to be a star SOON!
• You should wear a lot of dark red lipstick because it a happy time... It's Christmas! "

So I was chuckling to myself today thinking of Drew's made up month Nocember! But to me it kinda feels like NOCEMBER! Christmas is rapidly sneaking up on me? We are half way through December, and I feel like hours ago it was November!

As you can see Trent didn't enjoy Sitting with Santa! Drew on the other hand is just anxious to spout out all of the items on his list! HE WANTS SERIOUS BIG BOY STUFF!! Speakers, Microphone, Rock Star Clothes... Where does he come up with this stuff?

We Have managed Deck the Halls around here, we have visited Santa (still need to visit him again at the Mall) we are a few Holiday Parties Down, 2 Birthday's Down (Sister Shannon & Brother Will), and the Christmas Cards are Out....

BUT I haven't had one second to sit back and enjoy one bit of it! I haven't even purchased ONE Christmas Gift!! Christmas Shopping is one of my FAVORITE things to do!! I might be the only person who LOVES walking, browsing, people watching in crowded Malls during the Holidays. It all makes me sooo happy! I can't wait to get out there, and tear it up!!

So Happy Nocember!

In a few Days, I'm putting an end to the madness & Craze I have created for myself with my little business! I'm throwing in the towel for the year, and focusing on OUR DECEMBER!! Fulfilling peoples Trew Luv Christmas Wishes has ME WAY BEHIND!
